Our glamorous contribution to this month’s postwar Italian ‘Must Haves’ page in Art+Auction magazine is #2, the rare Mies Lounge Chair and Illuminated Ottoman.
Designed by Archizoom Associati for Poltronova in Italy in 1969, the chair comprises a chromed, angular steel frame supporting a rubber sling seat, with luxurious animal hide cushion. The accompanying ottoman features an illuminated under section and another matching hide cushion.
